There are now over 100 collaborative family practice teams in Nova Scotia, in various stages of development. How are they different? A collaborative family practice is a team of primary health care providers made up of different types of health professionals. (e.g. two family doctors and a registered nurse)  working together to provide comprehensive care for their patients.

All of these teams are supported by Nova Scotia Health and the Department of Health and Wellness.
